why do you wan to keep a dog in the first place? because you think its fun and cute and it was in the trend, and now you wan to abandon it because the novelty wears off. come on. its with you for years. dont you have a feeling at all? you dont but the dog has. "just put it to sleep. why bother finding it back?" this is what you and her can say. ha!
